ESAANZ Conference 2025 was organized by the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia on November 21, 2025.

Shruti Mishra, 3rd semester student at Korea University, GSIS, and the President of European Union Society participated in the conference through online mode and presented on the topic - Shared Interests among Strategic Differences: Looking at the Emerging India-EU Partnership through the Lens of Geopolitics.

In her presentation, Ms. Mishra talked about the key events in India-EU partnership throughout 2025 and listed key areas of cooperation between the two regions. She then moved on to look at the historical partnership between them highlighting that it was lying dormant for a long time only to grow again in 2020 after the 15th EU-India Summit was held virtually. She listed four main geopolitical reasons driving this renewed partnership including - the China factor, US' unpredictability, Russia-Ukraine war, and South-South Cooperation dynamic.

She ended her presentation by highlighting a few concerns on both sides regarding this partnership though concluding that these concerns should not decrease the momentum of progress in the partnership.

The presentation was followed by a QnA Session where she received two questions from the audience which she answered accordingly.
