The remaining sessions of the EU Summer School Program were conducted by Professor Jae-Seung Lee. In his first session, Prof. Lee focused on the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP). The session introduced students to the EU’s security policies in detail, covering the historical development of CFSP and CSDP, their institutional structures, as well as their missions and operations. In addition, Prof. Lee provided an overview of CSDP–NATO relations, offering students a comprehensive understanding of the EU’s broader security and defense landscape. In second half of the session, key foreign policy issues in Europe were also discussed.
