The fifth session of the EU Society took a more informal and social turn, departing from our regular meeting format. Taking advantage of the pleasant spring weather, members gathered for a

post-midterm picnic aimed at relaxation and bonding over some pizza and snacks.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The members also brought some of their own snacks from their home countries. Conversations flowed freely, covering a wide range of topics such as our academic experiences, future aspirations, Korean culture, and the everyday challenges of living and studying in Korea.

A memorable highlight of the afternoon was an unexpected visit from the President of Korea University, who happened to pass by our picnic spot. This provided a unique opportunity to introduce the EU Society, share our mission, and promote the activities we’ve been organising.

This session helped strengthen the bonds within our group, reminding us of the importance of community, especially for those far from home. It was a refreshing and meaningful way to regroup after midterms and celebrate the diversity and spirit of our society.
